TAM International Hosts Training Course

TAM International was proud to host an Advanced International Multimodal Radioactive Materials Packaging and Transport Workshop on June 19, 2012 in Saskatoon, SK. It was a 4 day workshop that saw 25 professionals from all aspects of the industry in attendance. The workshop covered a variety of topics ranging from safety concepts in materials and packaging, activity limits and material restrictions, selection of the optimal package types, and requirements and controls for transport. Each topic is referenced in several different Radioactive Material Transport Regulations which were all covered. These regulations included but weren’t limited to IAEA Safety Standards, 49 CFR, IMDG, Transport Canada Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations and IATA. TAM was proud to supply each of the participants with their own materials for future reference and hope that each one received valuable information to continue the common goal of the safe and secure transport of radioactive materials.
